Blind spot is the region in the retina at which no image is formed because of the absence of rods and cones cell in the optic disk.

The photoreceptors which are absent at optical disc which is also known as posterior part of the eye.

In a normal eye where the rays are passed through the transparent cornea then the aqueous humour and then lens and vitreous humour and strikes at retina where it forms an image.
