When the north pole is tilted towards the sun,it experiences continuous day light for six months. And when the pole is tilted on the other side, it experiences continuous night for six months. The north and south poles are the places which comes on extreme northern and southern hemispheres. So due to which these places are far from equator. The sun's rays directly falls on the equator due to which the places lying on equator receives extreme heat and light but the places on poles are far away from the sun so, therefore it receives very less amount of heat n light and also the earth's rotation and revolution factors determine the 6 monyhs daylight and darkness.
