The relation between a parent and a child should be close and warm. The first and foremost person with whom a child gets exposed to after coming in this world is his parents. He learns the basic things from his parents and family. As the child grows he gets exposed to the other people as well but the interaction between parents and the child should be close and warm. This builds a good relationship between the child and the parents. Being distant and formal creates a gap in the relationship and hence hampers the relation as well.
