Mathematically,
P=\frac{F}{A}P=AF
where,
P = Pressure
F = Force applied
A = Area of cross-section
As from above it is visible that pressure is directly proportional to the force applied which means that if force increases, pressure increases. It is also inversely proportional to the area of cross-section. So, when area of cross-section increases, pressure decreases.
