by reminder therom

x + 1 = 0

x = -1

p(-1) = (-1)² + 1

= 1 + 1

= 2

Answer:

let p( x) = x^2+1 and g(x)= x+1

By remainder theorem we know that when p(x) is divided by g (x) = x+1 the the remainder is p(-1)

therefore, p(-1)= (-1)^2+1 =1+1 = 2

hence , the remainder is 2
