If the highest layer of soil is uncovered, the lower layer of soil, which is often stony and hard in character, will progressively be exposed. And since it lacks humus, it's less fruitful. When erosion occurs on an everyday basis, the bottom becomes entirely fruitful.

The removal of a forest or stand of trees from land that's then changed to non-forest use is thought as deforestation or forest clearance. Forest area may be converted to farmland, ranches, or urban usage as a part of deforestation. Tropical rainforests have the best concentration of deforestation.
