Let R1 = 10 ohm ,R2 = 20 ohm & R3 = 4 ohm
Since R1 & R2 are in parallel, so equivalent resistance Rp is given by
1/Rp = 1/R1 + 1/R2 = 1/10 + 1/20 = (2+1)/20 = 3/20
So, Rp = 20/3 = 6.67 ohm
Now , Rp & R3 are connected in series, so equivalent resistance Rs is given by
Rs = Rp + R3 = 6.67 + 4 = 10.67 = 10.7 ohm Ans.
