Now the resistance will be 27/3 = 9 ohms. This will be resistance of each conductor.

Since it is connected in parallel

1 / R parallel = 1/R1 + 1/R2 + 1/R3

                  = 1/9 + 1/9 + 1/9

                  = 3/9

                 = 1/3

So R parallel will be 3 ohms.

Given the resistance of a conductor is 27ohms

It is cut into 3 equal parts = 27/3 = 9ohms

so the three new resistances are 9ohms ,9 ohms and 9 ohms

If all these three resistances are connected in parallel  then combined effective resistance is :

1/R= 1/R1+1/R2+1/R3

= 1/9+1/9+1/9

=3/9

1/R=1/3

∴R= 3 ohms.

∴Total resistance in parallel is 3ohms
