   According to the ohm's law,
V = IR (but I is not given)
I = VR
   If potential difference decreases by half to its former value, then V' = V / 2
Therefore, as the resistance remains constant. New current will be created.
     I' = V' / R
        = (V/2) / R
        = (1/2) (V/R) - - - - P. Difference Decreased by half
        = (1/2)
I = I/2
