The resistance of a wire of 7 x 10 -4 m radius is 1 Ω. If the resistivity of the material of the wire is 22 x 10 -8 Ωm, find the length of the wire.

Length of wire is 6.9 ≈ 7 metres

R= 1, A= πr²= π(7 x 10 -4)², l=?,

R= resistivity x length/area

1 = 22 x 10 -8 x l/πr²

l = 1 x 10⁸ x π r²/22

l = 1 x 3.14 x 49/22

= 6.99 m ≈ 7 m
