Current (I) =1.2 A , voltage =6v According to ohm's law V=IR by putting values R=V/I then R= 6/1.2 so we get R=60/12 hence R =5 ohm

Given:

  • The current of electric bulb = 1.2 A
  • The voltage of the electric bulb = 6 v

To Find:

  • The resistance of the bulb.

Solution:

We are using ohm's law whose formula is given by,

V = I*R

The formula to find the resistance is given by,

R = V/I → {equation 1}

Where "V" is the voltage and "R" is the resistance, and  "I" is the current.

On substituting the given values in equation 1 we get,

⇒ R = 6.0/1.2 {dividing the terms}

⇒ R = 5 Ω

∴ The resistance of the electric bulb = 5 Ω
