the resistivity of an alloy are much higher than pure metal why?

Alloys have larger resistivity than that of its constituent elements becausealloys have better properties than that of metals. Resistivity is the property of the material that defines that how strongly the material opposes the flow of electrons in to it. Higher theresistivity smaller will theconductivity.

No, because alloy is a mixture of matel and non matel .so,they are poor in resistivity
