Answer:
a). 3Ω
b). 5Ω = 2.4 A , 10Ω = 1.2 A , 20Ω = 0.6 A
c). 4.2 A
Explanation:
Given-
r1= 5Ω ,r2 = 10Ω , r3 = 20Ω
V = 12 ( battery
a). Total Resistance -
In Above Picture Resistance Connected In Parallel
So, Total Resistance is -
1/p = 1/3
So,
Resistance In Parallel= 3Ω
b). Current Through Each Resistor -
1. Current Through 5Ω Resistor
R = 5Ω
V = 12v
I¹ = ?
Using Ohm's Law
i•e,
V= IR
So,
I = V/R
I = 12/5
I¹ = 2.4 A {Ampere)
2. Current Through 10Ω Resistor -
R = 10Ω
V = 12V
I² = ?
By Ohms Law
V = IR
So,
I = V/R
I = 12/10
I² = 1.2 A
3. Current Through 20Ω Resistor -
R = 20Ω
V =12 v
I³ = ?
I = V/R
I = 12/20
I³ = 0.6 A
So,
I¹= 2.4 A
I²= 1.2 A
I³= 0.6 A
c). Total Current -
We Have,
I¹ = 2.4 A , I² = 1.2 A , I³ = 0.6 A
So Total Current Is
I = I¹ + I² + I³
I = 2.4 + 1.2 + 0.6
I = 4.2 A
