The Karachi session of Indian National Congress was well known for the resolution on fundamental rights and National Economic Policy.

Sardar Patel was the president of the Karachi session and he drafted this resolution with the help of Jawaharlal Nehru.

It was the first step towards Gandhiji's demand for ' Poorna Swaraj' for the common people of India.
