The sensitive parts of the plant are geotropic and antigeotropic in nature.

Explanation:

  • The plant responds to the acceleration due to gravity of the earth and due to this the shoot of the plant grows away from the soil against the gravity and it is known as anti geotropic in nature. The geotropic movement is brought about by the auxin hormone.
  • The growth of the root is against the rest of the plant towards the gravity. This type of growth is known as the geotropic in nature.
