plants parts are sensitive to the gravity as -
1. the stem or shoot of the plant grow in opposite to the direction of gravity and hence known as negative geotropism
2. plants roots grow in the direction of gravity and hence known as positive geotropism
example - the flower of sunflower grow in opposite to the direction of gravity and roots of the sunflower plant grow in direction of gravity
