Let the original number be x

Now,

Decreased number = x - ${\dfrac{x}{5}}$

$=\: {\dfrac{5x - x}{5}}$

$=\: {\dfrac{4x}{5}}$

But Also given that decreased number is 192

A/q,

${\dfrac{4x}{5}}\: =\: 192$

=> 4x = 192 × 5

=> 4x = 960

=> x = 960/4

=> x = 240

Therefore, decreased number is 240

Verification :-
