The resultant of the two forces, each of P, acting at an angle theta is;
R=√P^2+P^2-2P^2cos(theta)
R=√2P^2 [1-cos (theta)]
R=√2P^2 [2sin^2 (theta)/2]
R=2√Psin (theta)/2.
Note:
In all the above steps root is for the whole.But in the last step root is only for P.
