The resultant stress on a plane BC at a point in a material is 240 MPa tensile inclined at 30° to the normal to the plane as shown in Fig. 2.44. On a plane AB perpendicular to plane BC, the normal component of stress is 180 MPa. Determine

(i) the resultant stress on plane AB

(ii) the principal stresses and principal planes (iii) the maximum shear stress​
