It seems from the question that the angle between them is zero
so, the cross product would also be zero

In problem magnitude of A is 2 and that of B is 3, magnitude of R is 1. Hence cross product of two vectors is zero that implies vectors are colinear and directed opposite to each other. Here R = resultant
