In multiplication, the numbers which are multiplied are called factors.

The number that is multiplied is called multiplicand and the number by which it is multiplied is called the multiplier.

multiplicand × multiplier = product

For example: 4  ×  9 = 36

4 is the multiplicand , 9 is the multiplier and the result 36 is called the product.

Multiplier 9 means that 4 has to be multiplied 9 times.

Answer:

The results of multiplication is called as product.

Step-by-step explanation:

1. In mathematics, to perform multiplication, two numbers are multiplied with each other and the result of multiplication is called as product.

2. The first number which is multiplied is called multiplicand and the other number by which it is multiplied is called multiplier. It means that

multiplicand × multiplier = product

3. Lets consider the following example, 5 × 9 = 45

Here, 5 is the multiplicand, 9 is the multiplier and the result of their multiplication i.e. product is 45.
