x(1000-4x) = 60000

1000x - 4x^2 = 60000

A quadratic equation

-4x^2 + 1000x - 60000 = 0

simplify, divide by -4

x^2 - 250x + 15000 = 0

factors to

(x-100)(x-150) = 0

two solutions

x = 100 units

and

x = 150 units, both will make you $60,000
