When the Ancient mariner, along with other sailors, moved South due to the storm, they got struck in a place full of ice. There was no sign of life. But when an albatross came, they became relieved and considered it as God's messenger as after the arrival of that, the fog and mist went off and the ice split into half, giving way for the ship.

One day, the ancient mariner took his crossbow and killed the albatross for no reason. It was then the sailors faced many hardships : They were accompanied by fog and snow, could not drink a drop and water. Many told that the act that the ancient mariner did was a sin and crime as it has brought many difficulties to them.
