Explanation:

given

P = 3

H = 8

B = ?

by pythagorean theorem

H^2 = P^2 +B^2

(8)^2 = (3)^2 + B^2

64 = 9 + B^2

64-9 = B^2

55 = B^2

under root 55 = B

sin theta = P/H

= 8/3

cos theta = B/H

= under root 55/ 8
