Yes it obviously the right, whether it is in case of dreaming. Not only scientists and poets all of the people had there right to dream. About what they want to do, what they want to become, and as well what they don't want to do or what they want to do become.
If someone one is dreaming about to become a scientist or a poet that's not real that there would be any clash of interest.
As the honor of being a scientist is something different about to inventions, experiments etc.
Where as, being a poet is something different which is about to lost your self in any thing to write a poem and create and show one's own vision.
