Right to life and personal liberty is important. No citizen can be denied his or her life. this right also includes the right to live with human dignity.This provision ensures protection against arbitrary arrest and detention. a person will be punished according to the law prevailing at the time. no person will be punished for the same offence more than will be punished for the same offence more than once. no accused person shall be compelled to be a witness against himself. a person will be informed of the ground of his arrest and shall have a right defend himself.
