Parties are a necessary condition for a democracy because:

  • Societies are becoming larger and complex some agencies are required to gather different views on a variety of issues and to present these issues to the government.

  • Many ways are required to bring the variety of representatives together so that a government which is responsible could be formed.

  • A mechanism was required to support the government justify policies or make them or to oppose them.

  • The Political Parties fulfill the needs mentioned above which most representative government has.

  • By all this we can say that parties are necessary conditions for democracy.
