Well Narmada is a river and is also known as the Rewa as well as Nerbudda (at previous times). It is mainly situated in central India after the River Godavari and/or the River Krishna.
Furthermore, it basically rises from Amarkantak Plateau which is near Anuppur district and generally forms the traditional boundary between both North India and South India and flows westwards over a length of 815.2 miles or1,312 km before draining through the Khambhat Gulf into the Arabian Sea, 18.6 miles or 30 km west of the city of Gujarat or Baruch in short.
Moreover, it is known as the "Life Line of Gujarat and Madhya Pradesh" just because for its huge contribution in many ways to both the states i.e., Gujarat and Madhya Pradesh.
