The river of the Himalayas are perennial, while those of theDeccan plateau are seasonal.What is the reason?

Bcz the water in perninal rivers come from the mountains due to melting of ice where as the rivers of decan plateau are seasonal rivers as their water comes from rainfall in the region.

as the south west monsoon winds are blocked by the Himalayas so they don't get past India.the monsoon winds doesn't get humid around the Decca plateau
