Rivers in Deccan region are seasonal unlike Himalayan rivers which are perennial in nature because Deccan rivers have not source like glaciers which feed melt water to Himalayan rivers.
Deccan rivers basically sourced from monsoonal rains and in monsoonal period these rivers are flooded with waters and in winter season and summer season volume of water decreases therefore they are seasonal .
