The road exerts an equal and opposite force on your feet to make you move forward. Why don't we see the earth pushed backwards?

Answer:

Action-reaction forces are equal and opposite forces that act on different objects, so they don't cancel out. In fact, they often result in motion. Think about Jerod again. He applies force with his foot to the ground, whereas the ground applies force to Jerod and the skateboard, causing them to move forward.

Answer:

the action and reaction forces are equal and opposite to each other. At the same time, the frictional force as well as the masses of the two bodies come into consideration.

The following are the reasons to why the Earth wont get pushed back:-

  • The frictional force produced by our motion enables to move forward but it dosent mean that the other body has to be pushed back
  • The mass of the Earth is way too humongous for the little force we apply to shake it. As the mass is very huge when compared to ours , the force we apply wont have any effect on the Earth.
  • The gravitational pull of the sun is very strong which means the planets will only revolve around the sun and rotate in their place- They cannot move anywhere else , not even a bit.

hope it helped and pls mark as brainliest:)
