Dear (Name),

I am sorry to state that your premises, we are living in now, is in a very bad state and needs immediate repairs. I have been living in this house for the last ____________ years (Year), but during this entire period no major repairs have been carried out. As you are fully aware that the kitchen ceiling has been leaking during the rains. There are cracks on the roof top and the staircase is also in a very poor shape. The walls on the outer side also need urgent repairs as at many places brick and mortar is clearly visible presenting a very ugly look. Last time when you paid us a visit about ____________ months (Month) ago, we showed you all this and you had agreed to carry out the repairs urgently, but so far it has proved an empty promise.

Now, it is to inform you that the matter is serious and needs your immediate attention. Therefore, you must urgently arrange for the repairs or I shall get these done on my own and the cost would be deducted from my rent in instalments. Since the matter is of great urgency and our security and safety is involved, I want to have the repairs done before the onset of rainy season.

I await your early response before I get the repairs done on my own.

Yours sincerely,
(Your Name)

Hope it helps u in some way!!!!!

Dear Mr. Sharma:

I hope you are in great health and spirits. I am writing to you to request you for the repair of the bathroom. The roof of the bathroom has started leaking. As a result the plaster has come off. If the repairs are not done urgently, it may cause further damage.

I can get the repairs done myself, but I need your permission for the same. The repair expenses can be adjusted in the future rental payments. Kindly send permission or get the repairs done. Looking forward to prompt response.

Yours sincerely,

Anurag
