Step-by-step explanation:

3x² +4x -7 =0

3x² + ( 7-3) x -7 =0

3x² + 7x -3x -7 =0

x ( 3x +7) -1(3x+7) =0

( x-1) ( 3x+7) =0

x =1 ; x = -7/3

Given :-

  • 3x² + 4x - 7 = 0

To FinD :-

  • The Roots of the given polynomial

Solution :-

 \implies \: 3 {x}^{2}  + 4x - 7 = 0 \\  \\ \implies3 {x}^{2}  - 3x  + 7x- 7 = 0 \\  \\ \implies3x(x - 1) + 7(x - 1) = 0 \\  \\ \implies(3x + 7)(x - 1) = 0

Roots are :-

3x + 7 = 0 \\  \\ \implies3x =  - 7 \\  \\ \implies \: x =  -  \frac{7}{3}

 \: x - 1 = 0 \\  \\ \implies \: x = 1

Hence the Roots are 1 and (-7/3)
