Answer:

If the roots of any quadratic equation are real and equal then the condition is b²-4ac = 0

hence using this,

=> (-6)²-4(2)(k) =0

=> 36-8k = 0

=> 36 = 8k

=> k = 36/8 = 9/2.

k = 9/2.

thanks.

Answer:

The roots of the quadratic equation are real and equal

→ b² – 4ac = 0

→ ( – 6 )² – 4 ×2 × k = 0

→ – 8k = – 36

→ k = 9
