As we know nature of roots is depend on the value of Discriminant (D)

so,

\red{=> x^2 - 11x - 10 = 0}

Here,

\green{a => 1 , b => -11 , c => -10}

We know that

D => b^2-4ac

=> (-11)^2-4×1×(-10)

=> 1331+40

=> 1371

Since, \blue{D > 0 }

Hence, The roots are real and distinct.
