Answer:

(x+5)-8/(x+5)=7

=> (x+5)^2-8=7(x+5)

=> x^2+2.x.5+5^2-8=7x+35

=> x^2+10x+25-8-7x-35=0

=> x^2+3x-18=0

=> x^2+6x-3x-18=0

=> x(x+6)-3(x+6)=0

=> (x+6)(x-3)=0

=> x+6=0

=> x= -6

again, x-3=0

=> x=3

so, roots of the equation are -6 and 3
