Let the CP be a
SP = 3a/4
Loss = CP - SP
= a - 3a/4
= a/4
Loss % = Loss *100/CP
= (a/4)*100/a
= 100/4
= 25 %
Loss % = 25%
SP = 3a/4
Loss = CP - SP
= a - 3a/4
= a/4
Loss % = Loss *100/CP
= (a/4)*100/a
= 100/4
= 25 %
Loss % = 25%

let c.p. be x
so s.p. 3x/4
loss = c.p. -s.p.
=x-3x/4
=4x-3x/4
=x/4
loss percent= loss/c.p. × 100
=x/4/x×100
