The S.P. of an article ia three-fourth of its C.P. what was his loss per cent

Let the CP be a

SP = 3a/4


Loss = CP - SP

= a - 3a/4

= a/4

Loss % = Loss *100/CP

= (a/4)*100/a

= 100/4

= 25 %

Loss % = 25%

let c.p. be x
so s.p. 3x/4
loss = c.p. -s.p.
=x-3x/4
=4x-3x/4
=x/4
loss percent= loss/c.p. × 100
=x/4/x×100
..=100/4
= 25 percent
