Given:

  • SP of an article is three-fourth of its CP.

To Find:

  • Find the lose percent ?

Solution:

Let , CP of an article = x

and SP of an article = (3/4)x

Let , Lose % = l

We know that ,

SP = x - {(l/100) × x} = (3/4)x

→ x - (lx/100) = (3/4)x

→ {(100x - lx)}/100 = (3/4)x

→ x(100 - l)/100 = (3/4)x

→ (100 - l)/100 = (3x/4)/x

→ (100 - l)/100 = 3/4

→ 100 - l = (3/4) × 100

→ 100 - l = 75

→ l = 100 - 75

l = 25

Therefore , lose % = 25
