‘The Sacred turtles of Kadavu’ summary:
On the island of Kadavu, there existed a charming community called the Namuana. Tinaicoboga, the chief's attractive wife, and Raudalice, his endearing daughter, were both members of the Namuana family. They frequently went fishing together on the reefs around their house.
Tinaicoboga and Raudalice once ventured further into the bay than usual. Because they were focused on their fishing, they were oblivious to the war canoe's stealthy approach while carrying fishermen from the nearby village of Nabukelevu. The hostages were taken by the fisherman, who chained their hands before throwing them into the bottom of the boat. The women's pleading was ignored by them. The sea gods were sympathetic to the princesses. After a severe storm, the women transformed into enormous turtles.
Speech:
good morning to everyone present; today I will speak about the Problem faced by women in our society. In our society, which is deeply rooted, men predominate in both personal and professional spheres of life.
It's unfortunate that in our culture, males predominately create the rules which have inevitably unfolded patriarchal. Because of the male dominance of the decision-makers and the hierarchy underneath them, women are not seen as legitimate members of society, and the rules that are enacted are primarily in their favor. Not just India, but the entire world is patriarchal; regrettably, India is currently becoming an increasingly unequal society and an unsafe and discordant place for women. the incident of stumbling upon news where a woman was attacked, kidnapped, killed, or brutally raped is not alien to us. newspapers are flooded with news of honor killing and acid attacks. people have forgotten the meaning of humanity. women in our society are treated like objects who are molested and harassed to fulfill our sadist interests and the cases of attacks on women only seem to increase day by day.
It's high time we learn to respect women. our culture teaches us that women are godlike figures, but today we have come far from it. let's start by treating them as humans, first.
