Given : salaries of A and B are 10% and 30% less than that of C respectively

To Find : By what percentage (approx) is the salary of A more than that of B.

Solution:

Let say Salary of C   = 100S

salaries of A  10 % less than that of C

=> Salary of A = 100S  - (10/100)100S  = 90S

salaries of B  30 % less than that of C

=> Salary of B = 100S  - (30/100)100S  = 70S

Salary of A more than that of B.  = 90S - 70S  = 20S

percentage (approx) is the salary of A more than that of B.  =  (20S / 70S) * 100

= 200/7

= 28.57 %
