  • Let salary of A be X
  • Let Salary Of B be Y

Given:-

X+Y = 2000=> X = 2000-Y (i)

  • A spends 95% of His salary, Therefore he saves 5%.

Similarly,

  • B spends 85% So he saves 15 % of His salary.

A. T. Q.

5% Of X = 15% Of Y

=> 5x/100 = 15y/100

[ Transferring 100 To R. H. S]

=> 5x = 15y

=> X = 3Y (ii)

Substituting X in eqn (i).....

=> 2000-Y = 3Y

=> 2000= 4Y

=> Y = 500

Therefore, X = 3Y => 3× 500

X = 1500.

So, Salary Of A is 1500Rs.

Hope It Helps You!!!! ......... :)
