Answer:

New ratios of their salaries is 10 : 9 : 20

Step-by-step explanation:

Given that ratios of the salaries of Ali, Babar and Shaan = 2 :3 : 5

the percentages of increments on each one's salary are

                       on Ali's salary = 25%

                       on Babar's salary =15%

                       on Shaan's salary = 20%

let the salaries of Ali, Babar, and Shaan  2x, 3x and 5x respectively

[ the salaries are in the ratio 2 :3 :5 we can take it as ]

  • increment on Ali's salary is 25%

Ali's salary = \frac{25}{100} ×2x = \frac{25(2)}{100} x                 [ we do not multiple here for simple

  • increment on Babar's salary is 15%         calculation in further ]

Babar's salary = \frac{15}{100} ×3x = \frac{15(3)}{100} x

  • increment on Shaan's salary is 20%

Shaan's salary = \frac{20}{100} ×5x = \frac{20(5)}{100} x

the ratios of the new salaries =   \frac{25(2)}{100} x : \frac{15(3)}{100} x : \frac{20(5)}{100} x

25(2) x : 15(3)x : 20(5) x  [ multiplied with 100]

⇒ 25(2) : 15(3) : 20(5)        [ divided by x ]

⇒ 5(2) : 3(3) : 20               [divided by 5 ]

⇒ 10 : 9 : 20

the new ratios of the their salaries = 10 : 9 : 20
