Given :

The salary bill of company A having having 60 employees is Rs 900000 per month and the salary bill of company B having 75 employees is 1200000 per month

To Find :

a)Find the average salary of the employees in both the companies

b) which company is paying better average salary

Solution:

Average = \frac{\text{Sum of observations}}{\text{No. of observations}}

Salary bill of company A having 60 employees = Rs.900000/ month

Average of salary of company A = \frac{900000}{60}=15000

Salary bill of company B having 75 employees = Rs.1200000/ month

Average of salary of company B =\frac{1200000}{75}=16000

Average salary of employees in both companies = \frac{900000+1200000}{60+75}=15555.55

Hence the average salary of the employees in both the companies is Rs.15555.55 and Company B is paying better average salary
