As per question

There is increasement of 40% salary,

Then, increasement in new salary will be 40/100×100

40/100×100 =40

Then,Now salary of Doctor=₹140

Now, as per qn what percentage the new salary must be reduced to original the original salary=40/140×100

40/140×100 =28.57%
