Answer:

20%

A=(100-20)B/100=0.8B ---(i) and

C=(100+56.25)A/100=1.5625A ---(ii)

From (i) & (ii), C=1.5625*0.8B=1.25B or B=C/1.25=0.8C

So salary of B is 20% less than C.

The salary of B is 20% less than the salary of C.

Explanation: A value or ratio that may be stated as a fraction of 100 is referred to as a percentage in mathematics. If we need to calculate a percentage of a number, we should divide it by its entirety and then multiply it by 100. The proportion, therefore, refers to a component per hundred. 'Per 100' is what the word 'per cent' means. The '%' is used to symbolise it.

Given, that the salary of A is 20% lower than B's salary and the salary of c is 56.25% greater than A's salary.

Let the salary of  A be a, B be b, C be c

Given,

a=b(1-\frac{20}{100})\\=\frac{4b}{5}\\=0.8b

Also,

c=a(1+\frac{56.25}{100})\\=1.5625a\\=1.5625\times 0.8b\\=1.25b

Percentage salary of B less than C

=\frac{Salary\ of\ C-Salary\ of\ B}{Salary\ of\ C}\times 100\\\\=\frac{c-b}{c}\times 100\\\\=\frac{1.25b-b}{1.25b}\times 100\\\\=\frac{0.25}{1.25}\times 100\\\\=20\%

So, the salary of B is 20% less than the salary of C.
