the salary of a person was increased by 15% if his now is 9936 what was his initial salary (please answer me in formula or in photo)

Let initial salary be x

Increment=15%of x=15/100 × x

New salary=x+15/100×x=115/100x

Now given that 115/100x=9936

x=9936×100/115=8640

And so initial salary is Rs 8,640
