The salary of a person was reduced by 10% by what percent should his reduce salary be raised so as to bring it with his original salary

Let's assume he earns 1000 . if 10% is deducted then he gets 900 .

So to reach 1000, he shud get a hike of 100.

900=100%

9=1%

99=11%

So he shud get a hike of 11.1%









2nd method

Use the direct formula (for same kind of problems)
(x/100-x) * 100
As here 10% is reduced so according to it,
10/(100-10) * 100= 1000/90= 11.11 (approx)...

suppose my salary was 100 rs then
we got a deduction of 10% that means
we got 90rs now
then when have to bring it again on 100 then 100- 90 = 10
now
10/90*100 will be the percentage by which we should raise the salary to bring the original salary we get 100/9 which is 11.11 percent.hope you will find this answer helpful...
