The salary was increased by 25% .
Salary after 25% increase
= x + 25x/100
= 1.25 x
Later the salary of the teacher was decreased by 25% .
Salary after 25% decrement
= 1.25x - (25/100)×1.25x
= 0.9375 x
Given final salary of the school teacher = Rs. 937.50
=> 0.9375 x = 937.5
=> x = Rs. 1000
The original salary of the school teacher = Rs. 1000
