☆Hello friend☆

Thanks for question!

Let original salary be Rs 100,
25% increase = 100 + ( 25/100× 100)
= Rs 125

Niw let decreased% be x

125 -( x/100 ×125)= Rs 100

125 - 125x /100= Rs 100

-125x/100 = 100-125

x = -25/ × 100/-125

x =20%

hope \: it \: helps

Let's considered the salary of officer to be hundred So, if the salary is increased by 25% then the new salary =

100[100×(25/100)] = 100 + 25 = 125....

So, his new salary is 125 ....

To find his original salary 25 must be subtracted from 125 to get the original salary , 125 - 25 = 100....

So, his original salary is 100.

Decreasing percentage =

25/125 × 100 = 20%
