Hey dear,

◆ Answer -

(1) H1 : H2 = 16 : 1

● Explanation -

Both wires of aluminium, so their specific resistance will be same.

Both aluminum wires of same mass must have same volume.

V1 = V2

l1 × πr1^2 = l2 × πr2^2

l1 × 1^2 = l2 × 2^2

l1/l2 = 4

Ratio of cross sectional areas of both wires is -

A1/A2 = πr1^2 / πr2^2

A1/A2 = 1^2 / 2^2

A1/A2 = 1/4

Ratio of heat produced in the wires can be given as -

H1/H2 = I^2.R1.t / I^2.R2.t

H1/H2 = R1/R2

H1/H2 = (ρ.l1/A1) / (ρ.l2/A2)

H1/H2 = (l1/l2) / (A1/A2)

H1/H2 = 4 / (1/4)

H1/H2 = 16

Therefore, ratio of heat produced in wires is 16 : 1.
